Graduate Programs
The Department of International Relations offers a comprehensive and critical academic environment for graduate students who want to understand the dynamics of global politics. Our Master's program in International Relations combines the historical and theoretical foundations of the international system with in-depth analyses in areas such as diplomacy, security, foreign policy, and global governance. Students gain the ability to evaluate current developments in a multidimensional way by learning both classical and contemporary approaches.
Our two master's programs with an interdisciplinary perspective offer a unique academic experience by bringing together different fields of social sciences with international relations. The Master's program in International Political Economy is aimed at students who want to examine global economic relations with analytical tools by bridging the gap between economics, political science and development studies. The Regional Studies Master's program, on the other hand, deals with the historical, cultural and political structure of different geographies with interdisciplinary methods; It encourages students to specialize in specific regions.
Our Ph.D. program in International Relations is structured for researchers who aim for an academic career or who want to make an in-depth contribution to policy making. The program provides an intensive education in terms of theory, methods and field studies, paving the way for the writing of original doctoral theses. Students graduate with the intellectual equipment to make critical and constructive contributions to global issues.
