About Us
Karabuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations is a dynamic academic unit that trains experts in the field of international relations. Founded on December 26, 2008, the department aims to train qualified graduates with wide career opportunities in various parts of Turkey and the world by starting to accept students in the 2011-2012 academic year. In our department, a comprehensive curriculum covering the basic and specialized areas of the discipline of international relations  is offered. In addition,  with our 100% English undergraduate program,  our students are provided with a globally competitive education.
Departments
The Department of International Relations addresses a wide range of disciplines with four different departments:
  1. Department of Political History: Provides the ability to analyze international events by presenting the historical perspective of global political developments.
  2. Department of International Law: Introduces students to the principles and institutions of international law and provides them with the competence to analyze within the legal framework.
  3. Department of International Relations: By providing the theoretical foundations and analysis tools of international relations, it enables students to have a deep understanding of current events and policies.
  4. Department of International Political Economy: Focusing on global economic policies, it provides a comprehensive knowledge infrastructure to understand the impact of economic factors on international relations.
 
The education offered at the undergraduate level has a structure in which basic courses are intensive in the first two years, and vocational courses gain weight in the last two years. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students will have a comprehensive understanding of the structure, history, actors and legal framework of the international system and Turkey's role in foreign relations. Students who successfully complete their undergraduate programs are entitled to receive the "Karabuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations Diploma".
 
With the contributions of the faculty members, academic and administrative staff of the Department of International Relations and the technical and physical facilities of the Department,  the Master's  and Doctorate programs in International Relations, as well as the interdisciplinary International Political Economy and Area Studies Master's Programs A total of 4 different graduate education activities are carried out.
