About
Karabuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations is a unit that aims to train experts in the field of international relations for public institutions and organizations, intergovernmental and international organizations, the private sector and non-governmental organizations. There are four different departments under the International Relations Department:
 
Department of Political History
Department of International Law
Department of International Relations
Department of International Political Economy 

 
Those who complete the four-year international relations undergraduate program are awarded the "Karabuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of International Relations Diploma". In the first two years of the undergraduate program, common courses with other departments are in the majority, while in the last two years, vocational courses gain intensity. In vocational courses, students are provided with a general knowledge of the history, structure, functioning, transformation, actors, legal framework of the international system, and Turkey's place in the international system and its foreign relations.
 
At the same time, since the spring semester of 2014 - 2015, the Department of International Relations has been running the International Political Economy Department Master's program with thesis within the scope of the Social Sciences Institute of Karabuk University.
 
The employment area of the students who graduate from the department is very wide. Graduates of the department work as international relations specialists in public institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, the Ministry of Economy, Interior, Finance, Agriculture, Culture and Tourism. In addition, non-governmental organizations, private sector, media, financial institutions and international organizations are among the areas where graduates of the department are mostly employed.
 
Mission vision
The main mission of the Department of International Relations is to train qualified undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to the concepts and subjects of International Relations, the essence of the program is to make our students experts in foreign policy, politics, law, economy, sociology and management in line with their own preferences.
